It has recently become apparent to us here at my-wardrobe HQs that there is one accessory that is totally underrated - the scarf! The autumn winter season brings with it a multitude of delicious printed silk scarves in an array of sumptuous shades covering a colour palette of cool greens, berry tones and autumnal hues of burnt orange and rich browns. From jewels and wave prints at Missoni to polka dots and florals at Paul Smith, there’s a style for every occassion.
A silk scarf has to be one of the best investments that a girl can make. It lifts a plain top, adds another dimension to a classic suit and brightens up a tired complexion - a fashion miracle worker! It also has that all-important multi-purpose quality which often gets overlooked. Play around with different ways of wearing a scarf - tie it onto your Mulberry or Anya to totally transform the look of your day bag, use as a belt to nip in dresses or even wear it as a headscarf à la Nicole Richie and Mary Kate Olsen.
The only question which remains is which is your favourite and how will you be wearing yours?
